Deck overview

Alela, Artful Provocateur is an Esper enchantress deck that turns every artifact and enchantment cast into a mounted flying Faerie attack. It plays a pillow-fort game of Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Sphere of Safety while Bitterblossom and Alela build the air force; combat damage is converted into cards through Bident of Thassa, Enduring Curiosity, and Kindred Discovery. The second Alela, Cunning Conqueror acts as a welcome backup engine, goading blockers and adding Faeries on opponents' turns. The win is usually an overwhelming flying swing, often enlarged by Scion of Oona or Shadow Puppeteers' 4/4 Dragon transformation, with a late Exsanguinate as the alternate X-spell finish. There is no true hidden commander; Alela, Cunning Conqueror is the strongest secondary engine.
