Deck overview

This mono-white deck focuses on go-wide Soldier tribal aggro led by Myrel, Shield of Argive. The game plan establishes early Soldier drops and mana acceleration on turns 1 through 3, resolving Myrel on Turn 4. Myrel provides exceptional built-in protection by silencing all opposing spells and nonland activated abilities during your turn, allowing completely safe main phases and attacks. Starting on Turn 5, Myrel attacks to double your Soldier count each combat step. While the newly created tokens enter untapped and must wait a turn cycle before attacking, the exponential swarm quickly overwhelms the table when paired with anthems such as Cathars' Crusade, Goldnight Commander, and finishers like Akroma's Will. The deck backs its aggressive pressure with light stax pieces like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and Thalia, Heretic Cathar alongside dedicated wipe-protection spells such as Boromir, Warden of the Tower and Galadriel's Dismissal to ensure resilience against enemy board clears.
