Deck overview

This Esper deck uses Queza, Augur of Agonies to turn card draw into life drain and steady self-healing. The strategy accelerates during early turns with mana rocks and persistent card advantage engines like Rhystic Study and The One Ring. Once Queza or alternate drain permanents such as Sheoldred, the Apocalypse and Psychosis Crawler enter the battlefield, mass draw spells and wheels like Windfall and Whispering Madness strip opposing hands while dealing heavy damage across the table. The deck also threatens game-ending two-card loops, pairing Queza with Drogskol Reaver to draw the entire library and drain the table, or uniting Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Sanguine Bond or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. A robust suite of efficient counterspells and spot removal defends these winning lines while Archfiend of Ifnir and Orcish Bowmasters suppress opposing boards.
