Blech by Ghostype

Format: Commander

Commander: Blech, Loafing Pest

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Blech, Loafing Pest pilots a Golgari lifegain-and-counters engine. The deck wants to make cheap Pest/Bat/Insect/Snake/Spider tokens, gain life from every entrance, death, and landfall trigger, and let the commander turn that life into a wide board of +1/+1-counter creatures. Drains like Mirkwood Bats, Starscape Cleric, and Blood Artist convert token waves into attrition damage, while deathtouch, menace, and trample make the counters lethal in combat. Recursion from Cauldron of Essence, Victimize, Whip of Erebos, and Moseo keeps the value train running. The closest hidden commander is The Serpent Society: with deathtouch and a sacrifice outlet, it punishes every death of a deathtouch creature and complements the drain plan.
