Deck overview

This Boros deck is built around Depala, Pilot Exemplar, leveraging a dense suite of 31 Dwarves, equipment synergies, and tribal lords to overwhelm opponents through combat damage. Depala acts as both an anthem and a refill engine, converting excess mana into fresh Dwarf cards whenever she attacks or taps. The deck deploys low-cost threats like Seven Dwarves, Dáin Ironfoot, and Toolcraft Exemplar, before compounding its board state with token generators and multipliers such as Fíli the Pathfinder and Bruenor Battlehammer. Stax elements like Blood Moon and Magus of the Moon punish greedy nonbasic manabases, while defensive pieces like Windborn Muse deter counterattacks. While the strategy achieves strong functional redundancy and consistent curve deployment, its clock relies on multiple combat rotations, leaving it vulnerable to mass board wipes and exile effects.
