Bear Necessities by lovebug22

Format: Commander

Commander: Duskana, the Rage Mother

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Naya (RG) + W) midrange combat deck steered by Duskana, the Rage Mother, built entirely around creatures with base power and toughness 2/2. The commander provides explosive card draw on entry and a massive +3/+3 pump to every 2/2 attacker, turning a board of small bears and wolves into a lethal wave. The deck leans heavily on +1/+1 counter synergies (Cathars' Crusade, Death's Presence, Good-Fortune Unicorn), token generation, and anthem effects (Kudo, King Among Bears, Beorn the Fierce, Blade Historian). Its primary win condition is overwhelming combat damage via Craterhoof Behemoth, Overrun, Preposterous Proportions, or Gratuitous Violence, often closing games between turns 8 and 9. The deck has no infinite combos, moderate recursion, and a solid but not crushing interaction suite. It can function without the commander but loses significant reach, putting it in the format-default moderate dependency range.
