Deck overview

This mono-blue tempo deck is commanded by Lyra, Tolarian Archangel. It leverages dense, efficient card-draw spells and combat damage triggers to meet Lyra's threshold of drawing three cards per turn. Each time you meet this condition, Lyra generates a 3/3 flying Angel token on your end step. The deck operates on a classic 'draw-go' tempo axis: deploying cheap draw engines and evasive threats while holding open mana for instant-speed interaction, protection, and reactive draw spells. Over successive turns, the accumulating flying army applies immense aerial pressure against the table. Defensive enchantments like Propaganda and targeted neutralizers like Imprisoned in the Moon protect your life total from counterattacks, while a deep counterspell suite shields your board against sweepers. The deck closes games through overwhelming evasive combat damage, with alternate late-game lines provided by The Theorist, Jace Beleren and Laboratory Maniac.
