Deck overview

This Sultai deck is commanded by Zaxara, the Exemplary and operates as a high-velocity Big Mana combo and Hydra tribal engine. The primary game plan accelerates mana through early dorks and rocks to deploy Zaxara on Turn 3, setting up an infinite mana loop on Turn 4 with Freed from the Real or Pemmin's Aura. Once attached, Zaxara taps for two mana of any color and untaps for a single blue mana, generating unlimited colored mana. This infinite mana immediately fuels game-ending X-spells such as Exsanguinate, Blue Sun's Zenith, or Villainous Wealth, eliminating all three opponents in a single turn. When combo lines are unavailable, the deck pivots smoothly into an aggressive midrange beatdown strategy. Counter-doublers like Doubling Season, Branching Evolution, and Unbound Flourishing pair with unblockable effects from Herald of Secret Streams to convert enormous Hydra tokens into an overwhelming combat clock backed by robust countermagic and spot removal.
