Deck overview

This mono-red Dragon tribal deck revolves around Lathliss, Dragon Queen to generate an overwhelming aerial army. In the early game, it deploys cost reducers and mana artifacts like Dragonspeaker Shaman and Herald's Horn to accelerate into high-cost threats. Once Lathliss enters on Turn 5, every subsequent nontoken Dragon produces an additional 5/5 flying Dragon token. The deck leverages devastating combat payoffs including Terror of Mount Velus, Utvara Hellkite, and extra combat phases from Hellkite Charger and Scourge of the Throne to close out the game around Turn 8. Direct damage enablers like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Warstorm Surge convert creature deployment directly into life-total pressure and board control. While the deck boasts high damage output and flying evasion, it remains vulnerable to board wipes and enchantment-based strategies due to limited stack interaction and protection.
