Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx tribal midrange strategy commanded by The Ur-Sphinx. From the command zone, the commander's Eminence ability provides a passive one-mana cost reduction to all Sphinx spells, allowing the deck to accelerate heavy, evasive creatures ahead of schedule. The early game focuses on deploying two-mana artifact ramp and tribal cost reducers such as Herald's Horn and Watcher of the Spheres. By Turn 4, the deck establishes powerful card advantage engines like Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign and Kindred Discovery, turning every subsequent Sphinx into substantial card filtering and board presence. Between Turns 6 and 8, the deck overwhelms the table with massive flying threats, supported by high-impact bombs like Magister Sphinx, Tivit, Seller of Secrets, and Breach the Multiverse.
