IRON MAN by geoffybubba

Format: Commander

Commander: Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet artifact-combo deck pilots Tony Stark through his transformation into The Invincible Iron Man, leveraging the efficient front-facing dig and the transformed **Haste** flyer's ability to put an artifact from your hand onto the battlefield each combat (auto-attaching Equipment). The deck's primary plan is to accelerate into the transform ability, then exploit the commander's built-in speed to chain extra combat steps with five dedicated extra-combat cards (Godo, Bandit Warlord, Akki Battle Squad, Genji Glove, Overpowering Attack, Grim Reaper's Sprint). Doing so piles up commander damage, draws cards via Equipment like The Key to the Vault or Adaptive Omnitool, and overwhelms the table with explosive turns. The deck's heavy artifact density (roughly 63% of the nonland deck) creates a deep equipment and token foundation, while card-quality outlets such as Urza, Lord High Artificer and Krang, Master Mind provide mana and card advantage. The overall game plan is to set up early, transform, then chain combats and value into a swift elimination around turn 6.
