Deck overview

This deck is a Bant +1/+1 counters midrange deck commanded by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian. The game plan establishes early mana acceleration and counter-seeding permanents such as Hardened Scales, Gyre Sage, and Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte. On Turn 4, casting Tidus enables the Cheer engine, which moves counters to optimal attackers and rewards combat damage with card draw and proliferation. During the midgame, the deck compounds board power using counter multipliers such as Zimone, Paradox Sculptor, Sazh Katzroy, and The Earth Crystal, while keyword enablers like Duskshell Crawler and Chocobo Knights convert raw stats into lethal combat connections. A strong interactive package featuring Farewell, Damning Verdict, and efficient counterspells disrupts opposing progress while protective spells like Inspiring Call and Protection Magic maintain board dominance to close the game across Turns 6 through 8.
