Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control build led by Queza, Augur of Agonies, designed to grind out opponents through incremental card advantage and steady life drain. The deck features a dense package of cantrips, looters, and draw spells that consistently trigger Queza's ability to drain 1 life from an opponent while gaining 1 life. Support creatures such as Homunculus Horde and Iymrith, Desert Doom convert card draw into board presence and evasive combat damage. While Curiosity provides steady card draw when enchanting an attacking creature, it does not create an infinite combo because Queza causes life loss rather than dealing damage. The deck relies on fair midrange pacing, using counterspells, spot removal, and targeted protection to outlast opponents before closing the game around Turn 12.
