Deck overview

This Grixis deck is built around Edea, Possessed Sorceress, leveraging her repeatable beginning-of-combat ability to steal opposing creatures, attack with them, and sacrifice them for resource advantage and card draw. Supported by a dense suite of 2-mana acceleration, the deck consistently deploys Edea on Turn 4 alongside reliable sacrifice outlets such as Warren Soultrader, Phyrexian Altar, and The Golden Throne. Once the engine is operational, it rapidly accrues card advantage and Treasure mana while temporarily stripping opponents of key blockers. By Turn 6, the deck pivots into lethal combat states using high-impact finishers like kicked Rite of Replication, damage-tripling via Isengard Unleashed, or anthem buffs from Don Andres, the Renegade. Defensively, the plan is shielded by versatile interaction including Deflecting Swat, Swan Song, and Slip Out the Back. While lacking dedicated tutors and board wipes, the deck delivers steady, resilient midrange pressure through opponent-fueled combat and recursion.
