Sheoldred Brew 0.12 by user9546962

Format: Commander

Commander: Sheoldred, the Apocalypse

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-black control-combo deck helmed by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, built around punishing opponents for drawing cards while leveraging life-gain synergies to drain the table. The primary game plan involves deploying Sheoldred early, then using symmetric draw effects (Howling Mine, Temple Bell, Seizan, Perverter of Truth) and your own draw engines (Phyrexian Arena, Necrodominance, The One Ring) to trigger Sheoldred's life-loss ability repeatedly. The deck wins through a Sanguine Bond loop (with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror) or by using Peer into the Abyss on an opponent to draw half their library and kill them with Sheoldred triggers. Bolas's Citadel and Ad Nauseam provide explosive card advantage, while a suite of removal and protection spells keeps the commander and key pieces safe.
