Deck overview

This mono-blue midrange deck pairs Princess Yue with clone and theft strategies to scale alongside opposing boards. In the early game, the deck deploys mana rocks and cantrips, using the commander to scry and sculpt future draws. When Princess Yue dies, she turns into a land named Moon, accelerating mana production and continuing to provide scry selection. In the midgame, the deck leverages engines like Matoya, Archon Elder, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, and versatile shapeshifters to copy the strongest permanents in play. The deck controls the game with efficient counterspells, spot removal, and instant mass bounce spells like Aetherize and Evacuation. The late game finishes through high-impact threats, notably Astral Dragon creating flying 3/3 token copies of impactful permanents, Roil Elemental stealing opposing creatures, or Sakashima's Will transforming the board into a lethal combat force.
