Deck overview

This deck is a Bant midrange creature engine commanded by Helga, Skittish Seer. The game plan accelerates mana early to cast Helga on Turn 3, followed by a continuous chain of creature spells with mana value 4 or greater. Each large creature cast grows Helga with +1/+1 counters, gains life, and draws cards, while Helga's tap ability produces scaling mana to fund further heavyweight threats. Complementary engines such as Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, Garruk's Uprising, Chakram Retriever, and Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty convert mana velocity into massive card advantage and wide battlefield presence. The deck protects its board using creatures like Shalai, Voice of Plenty and Dauntless Escort, alongside flash-based interaction. Once a critical mass of creatures is established, the deck transitions from value generation to lethal pressure on Turn 6 using overwhelming overrun effects like End-Raze Forerunners and Decimator of the Provinces, systematically eliminating opponents through trample combat damage.
