Deck overview

This deck is a competitive mono-blue artifact combo and stax deck piloted by Urza, Lord High Artificer. The primary strategy accelerates mana in the opening turns using efficient artifacts and fast mana rocks, landing Urza by turn 3. Urza immediately turns every artifact into a blue mana generator, enabling rapid deployment of disruptive stax pieces such as Back to Basics, Harbinger of the Seas, and Narset, Parter of Veils. These pieces slow down multi-color decks while Urza breaks parity. The deck wins by assembling an infinite mana combo—most reliably Forensic Gadgeteer with Basalt Monolith, or Hullbreaker Horror bouncing mana rocks. Once infinite mana is established, Urza's activated ability exiles the entire library, allowing the pilot to cast every spell for free and finish the table in the same turn using Walking Ballista or infinite bounce loops. A dense suite of free counterspells and flash enablers ensures robust protection throughout the combo turn.
