Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Amass and Reanimator strategy centered around Sauron, the Dark Lord. The primary plan develops early mana rocks to cast Sauron by Turn 5. Sauron creates a growing Orc Army whenever opponents cast spells, while demanding a severe ward sacrifice of a legendary permanent to target. Once an Army connects in combat on Turn 6, the Ring tempts you, allowing you to discard your hand and draw four fresh cards. This engine continuously refills your hand while stocking the graveyard with powerful creatures like The Balrog of Moria and Cavern-Hoard Dragon.
