Witherbloom, the Unbalancer by user2880800

Format: Commander

Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Golgari (B/G) deck pilots a token-swarm strategy that aims to flood the battlefield with creature tokens, generate immense mana through sacrifice and landfall triggers, and finish opponents with overwhelming combat or a massive drain spell. The commander, Witherbloom, the Balancer, provides a cost reduction on instants and sorceries via affinity for creatures once the board is populated, but the deck does **not** revolve around him-the engine lives in the 99. The primary win paths involve Craterhoof Behemoth turning a wide board lethal, Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate for table-scale draining, or infinite loops via Phyrexian Altar + Pitiless Plunderer + a token generator to fuel a Professor Onyx or Springheart Nantuko victory. The deck relies on heavy creature counts, convoke, and rituals to accelerate, with recursion pieces like Cauldron of Essence and Agadeem's Awakening to recover from wipes.
