Format: Commander

Commander: Koma, Cosmos Serpent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Midrange-Control strategy centered on Koma, Cosmos Serpent. The primary objective is to ramp aggressively into Koma, who provides inevitable board presence by generating 3/3 Serpents on every upkeep. The deck leverages Simic s ability to duplicate permanents, using cards like Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, Spark Double, and Irenicus's Vile Duplication to bypass the "legend rule" and create multiple Komas, leading to an exponential token explosion. Victory is typically achieved through overwhelming combat damage, amplified by Unnatural Growth or End-Raze Forerunners, while Koma s activated ability provides a repeatable "stax-lite" effect to tap down blockers or shut off problematic activated abilities. The deck plays a reactive game once the commander is resolved, protecting its engine with a dense suite of countermagic.
