Deck overview

Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver leads a fast Dimir Aristocrats Combo deck designed to assemble game-ending loops quickly. Powered by explosive fast mana such as Mana Crypt, Sol Ring, Dark Ritual, and Cabal Ritual, the deck accelerates into powerful card advantage engines like Necropotence, Ad Nauseam, and Rhystic Study. Its primary victory route uses Gravecrawler, Phyrexian Altar, and a death-trigger drain piece like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Plague Belcher to drain the table for lethal life loss on Turn 3. The deck also features independent secondary win conditions, including the infinite dungeon venture combo of Rooftop Storm and Acererak the Archlich, as well as Thassa's Oracle with Demonic Consultation. A robust suite of low-cost counterspells protects key spells during combo turns, while targeted recursion ensures high resilience against opposing disruption.
