Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul mid-power aggressive strategy centered on the 'modified' mechanic introduced in Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty. Commanded by Chishiro, the Shattered Blade, the deck translates every Aura and Equipment cast into a 2/2 red Spirit token with menace, while buffing all modified creatures with +1/+1 counters at each end step. Acceleration is provided by dependable 2-CMC and 3-CMC green land ramp spells, leading cleanly into mid-game board expansion. While capable of assembling a wide, evasive attacking force through threats like Loyal Guardian, Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin, and Akki Battle Squad, the deck remains heavily reliant on combat steps and fair card trades. It possesses very little stack interaction and minimal instant-speed defensive counterplay, making it susceptible to well-timed sweepers. Win conditions revolve around steadily accumulating lethal combat damage over multiple rotations rather than executing combo finishes or hard lockouts.
