Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Golgari Squirrel Aristocrats list commanded by Hazel of the Rootbloom. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost token generators in the opening turns, casting Hazel to duplicate Squirrel tokens at end step, and using her activated ability to turn those tokens into a large mana reserve. With an established board, the deck pivots into an aristocrats win condition using drain engines like Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, and Blood Artist, or assembles an infinite mana and death-trigger combo via Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Pitiless Plunderer. The mana velocity is smooth and consistent thanks to efficient green ramp and token-based mana acceleration. While the deck possesses explosive mid-game lethality and strong backup engines in Chatterfang and Beledros Witherbloom, it features minimal reactive stack interaction and little plan shielding, making it vulnerable to well-timed sweepers.
