Deck overview

This deck leverages Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer to turn incoming combat and effect damage into overwhelming offensive power. By preventing all damage dealt to Anti-Venom and placing +1/+1 counters on him instead, the strategy turns symmetrical damage cards like Wave of Reckoning and redirectors like Pariah or Martyrdom into massive power surges. Equipment such as Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots, and Inquisitor's Flail grant haste, protection, and doubled combat impact to close games through lethal commander damage. A dense defensive suite featuring Loran's Escape, Giver of Runes, and Surge of Salvation protects Anti-Venom from non-damage removal like exile and bounce. Additionally, the deck packs an alternate instant-win combo in Phyrexian Vindicator and Guilty Conscience, allowing it to pivot if commander lines face heavy tax or stax.
