Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Dragon Stompy strategy commanded by Ganax, Astral Hunter and Acolyte of Bahamut. The game plan focuses on rapid mana development to deploy game-ending Dragon threats ahead of curve. By casting Acolyte on Turn 2, the deck reduces Ganax's cost to three mana on Turn 3. Ganax immediately creates a Treasure token upon entering the battlefield. On Turn 4, the combination of land drops, Acolyte's two-mana discount, and Ganax's Treasure generation enables the deployment of massive six- and seven-mana Dragons like Atarka, World Render, Utvara Hellkite, and Old Gnawbone. These flying threats overwhelm opposing life totals across two combat cycles, aiming for a Turn 6 table finish. The deck also features an infinite combat loop using Aggravated Assault and Savage Ventmaw. While the deck possesses explosive mana acceleration and massive aerial damage, it lacks instant-speed stack interaction and defensive counterplay, leaving its high-cost threats vulnerable to well-timed spot removal and board sweepers.
