Rakdos Firebending by OG_GAMER

Format: Commander

Commander: Ozai, the Phoenix King

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Ozai, the Phoenix King is the deck's engine and finisher. His firebending 4 generates red mana every combat, and his replacement effect lets unspent mana persist as red across phases, allowing the deck to bank mana. The primary plan is to assemble a firebending attacker with an extra-combat effect (Aggravated Assault, Hellkite Charger, Karlach, Savage Beating) and loop combats until Ozai deals 21 commander damage to each opponent. Secondary paths use the same mana battery to fuel X-spells such as Crackle with Power and Comet Storm, or Avatar Roku, Firebender to create massive mana bursts. Ashling, Flame Dancer and Birgi provide card advantage and additional mana retention. The hidden commander is Avatar Roku, Firebender, who acts as a second, even larger mana engine.
