Strahd Von Issabitch by EveOfAlice

Format: Commander

Commander: Strefan, Maurer Progenitor

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Strefan, Maurer Progenitor leads a Rakdos Vampire tribal deck whose primary plan is to deal one point of life loss to each opponent per turn, turning Strefan's end-step trigger into three Blood tokens. Those tokens cancel the downside of his attack trigger, letting the deck put large Vampires directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Secondary lines go wider: lords such as Stromkirk Captain and Captivating Vampire, plus Glass-Cast Heart and Anje, Maid of Dishonor, convert Blood tokens into mass drain. There is no hidden commander; Strefan is the engine, and the double-faced Vampire spells in the 99 serve as flexible payoffs. The deck is aggressive but needs the combat step to function.
