Deck overview

This Azorius Commander deck uses Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward paired with Candlekeep Sage to establish a resilient blink engine that generates substantial card advantage and a wide army of 1/1 white Soldier creature tokens. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and cheap utility creatures with enter-the-battlefield abilities. Once Abdel enters, he temporarily exiles these permanents to produce an immediate squad of tokens while drawing cards from Candlekeep Sage. A dense package of low-cost instant flickers allows the deck to repeatedly blink Abdel, simultaneously triggering all exiled permanents upon return, drawing further cards, and generating new waves of Soldiers. Disruptive creatures like Lavinia of the Tenth and Stonehorn Dignitary lock down opponents while the army builds to lethal capacity. The deck closes games through wide combat swarms boosted by Moonshaker Cavalry, dungeon venture buffs, or an accelerated Approach of the Second Sun.
