Deck overview

This Dimir Control and Aristocrats deck uses Toxrill, the Corrosive to establish an oppressive, creature-denying board state. The early game focuses on deploying two-mana artifacts, cost reducers, and efficient defensive blockers like Fog Bank to secure a safe development window. By Turn 5, the deck casts Toxrill or a high-impact asymmetric engine such as Maha, Its Feathers Night. Toxrill places slime counters on every player's end step, systematically dismantling opposing creature boards while generating an army of 1/1 Slug tokens. These tokens provide recurring card draw through Toxrill's activated ability and Skullclamp, as well as mana via Ashnod's Altar. The deck converts this board dominance into a decisive victory within two turn cycles through token drain from Mirkwood Bats and Blood Artist, massive reanimation with Rise of the Dark Realms, or an infinite life-drain combo using Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Sanguine Bond. Backed by countermagic and targeted protection, it smoothly controls multiplayer tables.
