Hibernating Bears??? by Doctalago

Format: Commander

Commander: Halsin, Emerald Archdruid and Inspiring Leader

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 38

Deck overview

This Selesnya token midrange deck pairs Halsin, Emerald Archdruid with the Inspiring Leader background to turn ordinary utility tokens into large combat threats. Early turns focus on ramping and creating incidental tokens such as Foods, Clues, Vibranium, and Incubators. Once both commanders are in play, Halsin pays {1} per token to turn them into 4/4 Bears, which Inspiring Leader immediately buffs to 6/6 creatures. Because noncreature tokens controlled since the start of the turn do not suffer from summoning sickness upon becoming creatures, the deck can mount sudden, massive combat attacks at instant speed. The list supports this plan with dense permanent removal, robust indestructible shielding, and backup token finishers like Glistening Dawn and White Sun's Twilight. It reliably establishes its engine by Turn 5 and closes the game through multi-opponent combat by Turn 8.
