Deck overview

Éowyn, Shieldmaiden leads an aggressive Jeskai Human typal deck designed to overwhelm opponents through relentless token generation, combat force multipliers, and the Monarch mechanic. The deck's primary game plan establishes an early mana base with colored fixing and low-drop Human enablers, transitioning into casting Éowyn on Turn 4 or 5. Once operational, Éowyn generates two 2/2 Human Knight tokens with trample and haste each turn, replenishing cards when controlling six or more Humans. Damage output scales rapidly through explosive anthems such as Shared Animosity, Erkenbrand, Lord of Westfold, and Beregond of the Guard, while cards like Aragorn, King of Gondor and Taunt from the Rampart remove opposing blockers for decisive alpha strikes. A robust suite of protection spells—including Teferi's Protection and Deflecting Swat—shields the board from sweepers. Overall, the deck delivers consistent, synergistic creature aggression capable of eliminating the table over a tight two-response-cycle window starting on Turn 6.
