Vorel Bracket 3 V2 by Matthewsteel

Format: Commander

Commander: Vorel of the Hull Clade

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Vorel of the Hull Clade is a repeatable force multiplier for a +1/+1-counter game plan. The primary path is to play a counter amplifier such as Hardened Scales or Branching Evolution, deploy a large counter carrier like Kalonian Hydra or Managorger Hydra, and then double the counters with Vorel, Deepglow Skate, or Kalonian's attack trigger before breaking through with Herald of Secret Streams or Overwhelming Stampede. Simic Ascendancy gives a secondary win, accelerated by Evolution Sage and proliferate spells. There is no double-faced commander; the deck is built entirely around Vorel's doubling ability, though the same shell can keep functioning without him thanks to other counter doublers and trample enablers.
