Deck overview

The deck uses Rivaz of the Claw as both a Dragon-only mana source and a repeatable graveyard-casting engine. Its early plan is to make land drops, place a Dragon in the graveyard with Entomb, Buried Alive, Faithless Looting, or self-mill, and cast Rivaz of the Claw before beginning recursion. The first usable operation is usually turn 5, when Rivaz of the Claw casts a five-mana Dragon from the graveyard. The strongest ordinary follow-up is a turn-6 payoff such as Lathliss, Dragon Queen alongside Terror of the Peaks, Scourge of Valkas, or another large Dragon. This creates substantial trigger damage and a board that opponents must answer. The deck has useful creature, artifact, enchantment, and spell interaction, but its answers are mostly one-for-one and its protection is incomplete. It can generate explosive turns with cost reducers, Atsushi, the Blazing Sky, and Dragon enter-the-battlefield triggers, yet it lacks a reliable compact finish, infinite combo, or sustained lockout.
