Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius artifact control strategy led by Urza, Lord Protector. The main game plan focuses on deploying efficient artifact cost reducers and mana rocks to assemble the commander alongside The Mightstone and Weakstone. On Turn 5, the deck pays the meld cost to create Urza, Planeswalker, which uses its passive ability to activate two loyalty abilities each turn. Ticking Urza up to 10 loyalty threatens a devastating -10 ultimate on Turn 6 that destroys all opposing nonland permanents while protecting your own board.
