Deck overview

This deck is a Simic Frog kindred midrange strategy commanded by Grolnok, the Omnivore. The primary objective is to curve out with low-cost Frogs and ramp pieces, deploy Grolnok by Turn 4, and attack to trigger massive self-mill. Because the vast majority of the deck consists of permanent cards, Grolnok reliably exiles multiple playable spells and lands with croak counters on every combat step, creating a massive extended hand that bypasses standard card-draw restrictions. The deck converts this immense card velocity into board presence by flooding the battlefield with Frog creatures, reducing costs with Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius and Herald's Horn, and pumping the team with tribal anthems such as Obelisk of Urd, Murkfiend Liege, and Patchwork Banner. While the list lacks fast infinite combos or heavy stax, it grinds through targeted removal and closes out games through overwhelming, trampling combat damage by Turn 9.
