Azula - Power Hungry (duplicated from zip799) by zip799

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis spellslinger/combo deck helmed by Fire Lord Azula, built around her unique combination of firebending mana generation and spell-copying. The primary game plan is to cast Azula, attack to generate {R}{R}, and then cast tutors and rituals during combat - each copied by Azula - to rapidly assemble the Thassa's Oracle + Demonic Consultation two-card win. The deck is densely packed with firebending creatures (Ozai, the Phoenix King, Zuko, Exiled Prince, Avatar Roku, Firebender) that produce red mana on attack, fueling a storm-style engine with Aetherflux Reservoir, Guttersnipe, and Birgi, God of Storytelling. Backup wins include Hullbreaker Horror + Sol Ring infinite-mana loops and the Aetherflux life-drain line. The deck plays fast, low to the ground, and aims to win through a protected combo turn rather than attrition.
