Shirei Deck by Noah0603

Format: Commander

Commander: Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Helmed by Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker, this mono-black aristocrats deck is built around a dense shell of power-1-or-less creatures that convert death into value. Shirei makes every 1/1 a repeatable engine: sacrifice a small creature to an outlet and it returns at the next end step, re-firing its dies/ETB trigger every turn. The primary path to victory is attrition - stacking Blood Artist-style drainers with recurring fodder while Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos keep opposing boards empty. Bitterblossom, Wriggling Grub, and Open the Graves keep the sacrifice supply stocked, and Contamination acts as a soft lock when fueled by tokens. There are no infinite combos; instead, Price of Knowledge, Liliana, Dreadhorde General, and a large Crowded Crypt activation finish games once the table has been drained. The deck is slow but extremely grindy.
