Deck overview

This Omnath, Locus of Rage deck is a dedicated Gruul Landfall strategy designed to ramp aggressively, deploy massive Elemental armies, and burn opponents out with lethal death triggers. In the early game, the deck accelerates mana velocity through an extensive suite of land ramp spells, quickly surpassing normal curve limitations to cast Omnath on Turn 5. Once Omnath is established, every subsequent land drop produces a 5/5 Elemental token, creating immense board presence. Omnath's built-in 3-damage death trigger turns every Elemental into a direct-damage threat, heavily discouraging opposing sweepers and weaponizing sacrifice outlets like Goblin Bombardment and Greater Good. The deck backs up its commander with alternate landfall powerhouses including Avenger of Zendikar, Rampaging Baloths, and Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, supported by explosive graveyard land recursion. While vulnerable to early non-creature disruption and exile removal, the deck's resilient land-based mana base allows rapid commander recasting and overwhelming mid-game stompy finishes.
