Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet Spellslinger Storm archetype centered on Vivi Ornitier. Vivi functions simultaneously as a lethal burn outlet and a massive mana engine, placing +1/+1 counters on itself and dealing 1 damage to each opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast, while tapping for {0} to add mana equal to its power. The game plan focuses on deploying Vivi on Turn 3, followed by chaining low-cost cantrips, cost reducers, and magecraft triggers on Turns 4–5. Key card-draw engines like Tandem Lookout, Archmage Emeritus, and Virtue of Courage convert every noncreature spell into fresh cards, enabling self-sustaining storm turns that burn out all three opponents in a single turn cycle. Backup win conditions include an infinite draw-and-damage loop with Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Tandem Lookout, as well as secondary burn multipliers like Guttersnipe and Fiery Inscription. The deck protects its combo turns with cheap hexproof spells and efficient countermagic.
