Ardynin' demons by OblivionArchive

Format: Commander

Commander: Ardyn, the Usurper

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Ardyn, the Usurper is an eight-mana Demon commander who turns any graveyard into hasty 5/5 Demons. The deck accelerates with mana rocks and cost reducers, self-mills to fill graveyards, and then uses Ardyn's combat trigger to build a pile of evasive, lifelinking Demons. The primary win is Liliana's Contract, which requires four Demons with different names; tutors such as Rune-Scarred Demon and Final Parting find it quickly. Secondary paths include combat damage from high-power flyers and a Bolas's Citadel attrition line. Tergrid is a high-value addition that punishes discard and sacrifice. The deck is a midrange reanimator strategy that wants to reach the mid-game and then overwhelm the table.
