Braids, Arisen Nightmare by user2700060

Format: Commander

Commander: Braids, Arisen Nightmare

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats build uses Braids, Arisen Nightmare as a repeatable sacrifice-and-draw engine that also taxes each opponent's board. The primary plan is to produce tokens, convert every sacrifice into life loss with Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Vraan, and use Braids to refuel. Secondary paths are Sanguine Bond/Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror/South Wind Avatar life-gain loops and large X spells fueled by Cabal Coffers/Crypt Ghast. Braids is a value-grind engine rather than a combo piece; the deck can operate if she is absent, but her end-step draw and sacrifice make the drain clock much faster.
