Deck overview

This mono-black deck helmed by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel is a sacrifice-themed value engine that leverages creature death triggers for card advantage, life drain, and reanimation. The primary game plan is to establish a steady stream of sacrifice fodder-using creatures like Reassembling Skeleton and token generators like Nightblade Brigade-then feed them to the commander and other outlets to draw cards, drain opponents, and eventually transform Sephiroth into his flying, emblem-wielding form for accelerated drain. The deck has a clear infinite combo line: Pitiless Plunderer + Reassembling Skeleton + a sacrifice outlet (e.g., the commander's attack trigger or Deadly Dispute) generates infinite treasures and death triggers, which can be turned into a win via Bastion of Remembrance or Falkenrath Noble. Secondary wins come from reanimating large threats like Sepulchral Primordial or Wurmcoil Engine and overwhelming opponents with combat damage.
