Deck overview

Helmed by Otrimi, the Ever-Playful, this is a dedicated Sultai mutate deck. The game plan is to establish an early non-Human creature, mutate Otrimi onto it for {1}{B}{G}{U}, and then chain more mutate creatures onto the same permanent so their triggers compound: Migratory Greathorn ramps, Dreamtail Heron draws, Auspicious Starrix cheats permanents onto the battlefield, and Chittering Harvester/Cavern Whisperer/Mindleecher disrupt opponents. Otrimi's combat-damage trigger returns a mutate card from the graveyard to hand, letting the deck re-fire its best triggers every turn. A secondary hydra/X-spell package built around Zaxara, the Exemplary, Genesis Hydra, and Villainous Wealth provides alternate bodies and a potential one-shot finish, while Propaganda, Silent Arbiter, and goad auras keep the board safe as the single stacked creature grows unstoppable. The primary win is combat damage from one enormous trampling stack, with Insatiable Hemophage's drain and Villainous Wealth as reach.
