Deck overview

This Esper deck is commanded by Queza, Augur of Agonies and operates as a dedicated draw-drain combo-control engine. The strategy focuses on establishing early mana acceleration through two-mana talismans and signets, deploying Queza, and converting massive card draw into lethal life loss for opponents. A dense suite of cantrips, passive draw engines like Mystic Remora, Phyrexian Arena, and Talion, the Kindly Lord, and burst draw spells like Necrodominance and Necrologia keep the hand full while constantly draining life totals. The primary win condition relies on resolving Peer into the Abyss or chaining wheel effects like Windfall and Whispering Madness with Queza or redundant payoffs such as Psychosis Crawler, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Starscape Cleric on the battlefield to kill the table in a single turn. Robust interactive spells, including uncounterable removal, cheap countermagic, and protective instants, safeguard the combo from disruption.
