Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula commands a high-tempo Grixis Spellslinger Combo deck built around combat spell duplication and instant-speed Magecraft engines. Azula enters early to supply firebending mana and double any spell cast while attacking, turning cantrips and draw spells like Big Score and Frantic Search into massive card and treasure advantage. This resource engine accelerates into the primary win condition: Professor Onyx combined with Chain of Smog. By repeatedly targeting yourself with Chain of Smog, you trigger Onyx's Magecraft infinitely to drain all three opponents from full life on Turn 5. If that route is disrupted, the deck pivots into Underworld Breach storm lines with Brain Freeze, infinite mana via Storm-Kiln Artist, or massive combat pump spells finished by Chandra's Ignition. A low-curve interaction package of one-mana counterspells, redirection effects like Bolt Bend, and asymmetric protection from Tidal Barracuda ensures the deck can defend its win windows while disrupting opposing plans.
