Deck overview

This deck is built around Rendmaw, Creaking Nest, turning every card with two or more card types (artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, artifact lands, and kindred spells) into a swarm of goaded 2/2 flying Bird tokens for all players. Because these tokens enter tapped and goaded for the rest of the game, opponents are forced to batter each other in combat while leaving the pilot completely unattacked by the flock. The deck capitalizes on this forced attrition through aristocrat punishers like Syr Konrad, the Grim, Deathreap Ritual, and Morbid Opportunist, converting inevitable creature deaths into raw card advantage and life drain. To close games, the deck deploys asymmetric sweepers such as Massacre Wurm, Culling Ritual, or Decree of Pain, converting the oversized flock of 2/2 Birds across the table into lethal burst damage and board dominance.
