Deck overview

This Gruul deck is led by Kibo, Uktabi Prince, combining Ape and Monkey typal beatdown with dedicated artifact destruction. The strategy centers on gifting opponents Banana artifact tokens and punishing them whenever those artifacts hit the graveyard. As opponents sacrifice Bananas for mana or have their mana rocks destroyed by cards like Vandalblast, Gorilla Shaman, and Season of Gathering, Kibo distributes +1/+1 counters across your entire primate board. Evasion enablers such as Kodama of the West Tree and Duskshell Crawler convert this growing power into lethal trample damage. While the deck can execute a complete permanent wipe with Mycosynth Lattice and Vandalblast, its standard game plan relies on resilient midgame combat damage supported by mass board protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Inspiring Call.
