Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck pilots a forced combat strategy under Thantis, the Warweaver, compelling all creatures to attack each turn. The primary plan is to ramp into high-CMC threats, layer deathtouch (via Ohran Frostfang, Fynn, the Fangbearer, Archetype of Finality) to control the board, and generate advantage through repeatable card draw from damage triggers (Toski, Bearer of Secrets, Ohran Frostfang). Additional pressure comes from punishing opponents for casting noncreature spells (Ruric Thar, the Unbowed, Painful Quandary) or for attacking you (Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs). Win conditions are a mix of combat damage (poison counters from Fynn, large trampling creatures), the alternate condition Revel in Riches (treasures from creature deaths), and X-spells like Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate after grinding out value. The deck is an unfocused, high CMC battlecruiser that lacks a compact combo line; it relies on attrition and the forced combat mechanic to eventually close out the game.
