Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red Dragon tribal strategy commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen, supplemented by an 11-card Dragon's Approach burn sub-theme. The game plan focuses on deploying early ramp and tribal cost reducers (Dragonlord's Servant, Dragonspeaker Shaman, Herald's Horn) to cast Lathliss on Turn 5. Once established, every subsequent nontoken Dragon spell generates an additional 5/5 flying Dragon token, rapidly creating an overwhelming aerial army. High-impact Dragon payoffs like Scourge of Valkas, Dragon Tempest, Terror of Mount Velus, and Utvara Hellkite turn creature deployments into immediate burn triggers, haste enablers, and exponential board growth. While the deck possesses explosive mid-game combat pressure and efficient damage-based sweepers (Blasphemous Act, Chain Reaction), it suffers from limited stack interaction, lack of defensive protection for its 6-mana commander, and prolonged vulnerability to board wipes across multi-turn combat clocks.
